This exceptional coffee has come to us from Jairo Arcila. The coffee is grown by Jairo with assistance from the Cofinet team at Finca Castellon, Circasia, Quindio in Colombia. Up until recently Jairo had focused on producing commercial coffees in volume but after a little persuasion from his son, Felipe, he decided to try his hand at growing Gesha. Incredible results followed with his coffee placing highly in last seasons Cup of Excellence. This coffee was carefully handpicked in order to use only the ripest cherries then Natural processed by Cofinet at La Pradera washing station. This microlot is 100% Gesha, a variety first discovered in Abyssinia, Ethiopia in 1931. Gesha was planted in Panama for the first time in 1963 and in Colombia in 2005.
